I Need Summer!

Is it just me or has winter been dragging on a little too much? I know it's still February, but it seems like it's been here forever. Here in Georgia, it was super nice for a couple of days! Nice enough that I could wear a pair of norts and go walking around my neighborhood. But then this week happened. Today was in the thirties again! Ugh!

Because of this awful weather I have had one thing on the brain: SUMMER. I am definitely in need of summer pronto. Nice weather, laying out by the pool, I want it all! Since I have been thinking of it so much, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite summer essentials:

1) Croakies: I feel like croakies are needed, especially if you are going to be wearing sunglasses all the time like I am! These Vineyard Vines ones are cute and come in various colors!

2) A cute pair of sandals: I think sandals are a definite for summer! You can dress them up or just wear them for any occasion! Jack Rogers especially are popular in the summer.

3) A good pair of shorts: Shorts are essential wether their denim, khaki, whatever! These J. Crew chino shorts a great when you feel like adding a pop of color to your outfit!

4) A nice bathing suit: Obviously, bathing suits are needed for summer! Whether you're at the pool, beach, or lake you wanna look cute! Pink by Victoria's Secret has a great selection! 

Update On My Life

Hi y'all!

First off, I want to apologize for not being so active on this blog. I promise you I really was going to start posting more! However, fate decided to change its mind when my laptop's screen cracked! Long story short, I had to check my luggage and when I got back to Florida the screen was shattered. However, Delta was awesome and pair for the damage. Now I have a spanking new screen!

Second, I've been home from Florida for almost two months now! I can't believe it's been that long. It seems like just yesterday I was watching the fireworks for the last time at the Magic Kingdom.

I am no longer at St. John's University anymore. A lot happened my sophomore year and I think it was just about time for me to move on. So as of now, I am taking a semester off and hopefully you will be reading this blog by a future Georgia Bulldog (fingers crossed)! I actually just sent in my application today so I really hope everything works out! The University of Georgia has always been a dream school of mine, especially in high school! So the thought of making this dream a reality puts such a smile on my face. I know I said in a previous blog post that I was applying last spring, and actually I ended up getting in! But I also got accepted into the Disney College Program and I just knew I had to grab that opportunity when I had the chance.


Well that's all for now, but I PROMISE my updates will be more frequent!

Um... Hi?

Well hey there... it's been quite a while since I've posted. Last time I posted, I was just accepted into the Disney College Program. And six months later, here I am two months into my program!

I work in three different stores in Downtown Disney, Once Upon a Toy, Fun Finds, and Mickey's Pantry. Was I disappointed when I found out I wasn't working in one of the four parks? Of course I was at first. But now, I don't regret a single thing. I have made some of the best friends here so far. Work can be very tiring sometimes, but it is so worth when you're making others happy. One of my favorite things to do is when I see a little girl dressed in a princess outfit is to run up to her and ask her for her autograph. They always light up with joy and their parents get so thrilled.

So now that I decided to start blogging again, I can't promise that it will be everyday. However, I wil try my best to blog as often as I can. 

I want to say though that I have never been this happy until I started here in August. I am constantly smiling all the time and having the absolute time of my life. Moral of the story is, make yourself happy and do something for yourself once in a while. It's completely worth it in the end.

Exciting News!

In one of my blog posts a while ago, I said I had news to tell you all but I didn't want to say anything until I heard back... well now I can tell you!

I'm going to Disney World!

Ok... Cool, Disney World. Like a trip with your family. Wrong! 

I've been accepted into the Disney College Program for the Fall semester!

I will be working in Merchandise at one of the parks and I cannot tell you how thrilled I am! I have been a huge Disney fanatic ever since I was a little girl, and to get a chance to actually work there for six months is seriously a dream come true for me! My arrival date is August 12th and I have been counting down the days until I get there! 

This is something I've been wanting for forever. Last semester though, I came to a conclusion that I wouldn't be able to do it because I wouldn't have enough time. But on a whim I decided to just apply this semester because how many people can say they work for Disney?! And I got in! This just comes to show to never give up and to really push for something you love. 

I can't wait to start blogging from the Happiest Place on Earth! 

Deal of the Day!

So a couple of weeks ago at Jack Rogers, my boss asked me if the boots I was wearing were Frye boots. I told her they were actually from Target and she freaked. Her boots were Frye and ours looked exactly the same. We had the whole sales department trying to find my shoes on target.com and low and behold we found them. They were about $200 less than what my boss paid for! I had to share this with you guys. As you all know, I get all my shoes from Target because not only are they really cute, but they are SO affordable.

Watches galore and a Liebster Award!

On Tuesday I went into the Kate Spade store on 21st with my pledge sister Karen after work so she could go buy a phone case. As she did that I obviously had to go look around. I swear, if money grew off trees, I would buy every single item in that store. There was not one thing that I didn't want. There was one specific thing that caught my eye though: the watches. I was in complete awe by how cute they were! This one especially got my attention:

1. What is your favorite vacation destination?

-Anywhere where there is a beach! I love going to the beach with my friends and just getting up in the morning, throwing on a swim suit, and just laying out with a book and my music :)

2. Coke or Pepsi?

-How about water? ;) I'm not very much of a carbonated drink person.

3. Favorite childhood TV Show?

-Boy Meets World!! I have every season on DVD. No shame.

4. What's your pump-up song?

-Call Me Maybe. That song will never get old for me. That or I love any Luke Bryan song :)

5. What is your favorite accessory that you own?

-My phone. I can't live without it.

6. What is your guilty pleasure?

-When I am home, I am obsessed with watching wedding shows like Say Yes to the Dress or Four Weddings.

7. What's your pet peeve?

-People who talk during movies or commentate during the whole thing. I can't stand it!

8. City or country?

-Hmmm...A little bit of in between.

9. What's your favorite monogram style?

- I love the classic script.

10. What is your go-to drink at Starbucks?

-A double chocolatey chip frappuccino :) 

11. What are you most excited about for spring?

-Wearing shorts, sun glasses, flip flops, nice weather.... How about EVERYTHING.

Lilly Pulitzer Spring 2013

Ok, ok, so I'm about to be like everyone else that you probably follow on blogger and post about the new Lilly Spring collection. But I seriously can't help it! It has to be my favorite collection yet. I could probably post about every single item, however I am sharing with you my favorite ones- it was quite a hard decision though, mind you.

Thank goodness my birthday is only two months away, so I cannot wait to ask for maybe some of these as potential birthday presents. I'm also going on a cruise with my family this summer, so it's definitely a given that I will have to splurge on one for that!

Monograms!

If someone were to tell me a few years ago that I'd be in love with monograms, I'd say they're absolutely crazy! However, these last couple of months, I've been crazed by how much I love them! Today, I received my last Christmas present (I know, two weeks after Christmas haha). I love monograms so much I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to monograms (follow me on Pinterest)! Hi guys! Can you believe it's December already? The semester flew by. A week from tomorrow I'll be going home for break! Anyways, I wanted to tell y'all about a good last minute gift! Happy Election Day!

Happy Election day guys!Unfortunately, my absentee ballot didn't get to go through because of Hurricane Sandy. My university didn't get out the mail in time so my vote won't be counting. However, I definitely encourage everyone to go out and vote! It's a really important thing, and our country depends on it.

In honor of today, I went onto my favorite Etsy shop, Southern Prep Co. and found some very cute Republican and Democratic things!

Lilly Resort 2012

The Dahl House!

So, a little over a month ago, I won a giveaway from My Life as A Southern Prep. If you haven't already, definitely go check out her blog! The giveaway was a frame of my choice from The Dahl House. I picked a nautical themed picture frame and they also let me put a monogram on it for free! I just got it today and I absolutely love it!

It came in such cute wrapping, and they also gave me a discount towards my next purchase from them!

Isn't this the cutest frame? I absolutely love is and I'm so happy about it!

My Addiction to Target

So, of course I couldn't not go a couple of days without blogging. Yesterday, I went to Marshall's Shoe Shop, which is pretty much just a Marshall's but all shoes! They had the greatest selection of shoes, but there was one problem: there were no shoes in my size! I'm an eleven in shoes, so it is pretty much an adventure trying to find shoes in my size. But thank goodness for Target! I walked in and right away I found dozens of shoes in my size! It was so hard for me to pick but I finally found five that caught my eye:

Lilly Endless Summer Sale

Whew! What a day it has been! For all of you that didn't know and have fallen off the face of the earth, Lilly Pulitzer is having its Endless Summer Sale right now until Friday at midnight!

I like many others have been up since around eight when the sale was originally going to start. However, so many people tried to get on that they decided to change the sale starting time to four:

However, as soon as four came around, Lilly Pulitzer wrote this on their FaceBook wall:

Many of us Lilly fans were frustrated, but it was definitely worth the wait! The site crashed constantly for the first hour and a half, and many people wrote disrespectful comments on Lilly Pulitzer's wall. I thought it was really rude and ridiculous for people to do that. The sale is until Friday so people should just calm down. Anyways, the sale is up and running smoothing so definitely check it out! Here are my purchases from the sale:
