My first crepe experience!

Yesterday during my lunch break, my pledge sister and I (who also works at Jack Rogers) decided to go to this little crepe place called Vive La Crepe. It was seriously the greatest experience of my life. I was a little hesitant at first because I never had a crepe before, but I was in a chocolate-y mood, so of course I decided to try one! I got one with dark chocolate and bananas. It was heaven in my mouth!

Yummmm!

Karen (my pledge sister) also got Nutella hot chocolate with her crepe, so the waiter had a little more extra and gave me the rest! It was so good, I'm gonna have to get my own next time!

If you're ever in New York, I strongly recommend coming to one of their locations and getting a crepe. There are so many options to choose from! I'm definitely making another stop here!

What are your favorite crepes? :)

First Day at Jack Rogers!

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been super bus with my new internship, classes, and preparations for recruitment! If I make it out of this semester without any break downs, I will be very pleased with myself.

So, I'm sure you want to hear all about my internship. I absolutely love it! My boss, Carley, gave me a tour of the office, and showed me the show room of all the Spring shoes! I can't tell you what they're like, but I think you all will be very pleased with them :) I also organized all the sample shoes and did some filing for all the accounts that are being processed with Jack Rogers. Here's a picture of my outfit I wore on the first day:
Top: Ross
Skirt: TJ Maxx
Shoes: Tory Burch

I'm not gonna lie, wearing flats was a pretty bad idea. It ended up snowing and on my walk back from the but stop to my dorm, I couldn't feel my toes they were so numb!

Isn't this the cutest?!

I also got my own little notebook and laptop for the office!

My first day went by faster than I thought it would, and I can't wait to go back on Tuesday!

Jack Rogers Internship!

Today I have some VERY exciting news!

I'm going to be interning for Jack Rogers!!!! Oh my goodness, I still can't believe it!

I feel so blessed to be interning for such an amazing company! I plan on blogging about it as soon as I start my first day, when I get back to New York! :) I'm going to be an intern in the Sales department, so I will be working with samples and stock!

Also, my pledge sister just got an internship as well in the Public Relations Department! Go check out her blog!

Have a great day! :)

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Hey guys! Hope you all had an amazing weekend. This weekend for me was filled with tons of Philanthropy, which I couldn't be more happier to do! One of the big reasons I even considered joining Greek life was for the community service and giving back to the community.

On Saturday, two of my pledge sisters and I went to a place called Bread and Water. We all sat in our own little cubicle and registered people under their list so that they can receive Christmas presents for their children. One women came in and told me she didn't even want to do that because their are so many people less fortunate than her but was begged to come by her friends. She then told me that half of what her son got was going to be given to children who need it more.

It amazed me that even people who are very much in need of money also think there are people who are way worse off than they are. It was so inspiring.

Today, I woke up at the wonderful time of 6:30 to walk around CoronaPark for Making Strides for Breast Cancer. Although I wasn't so happy to wake up at that hour, I was excited to take part of this Philanthropy.

Me and two of my other sisters got to the registration site extra early to help St. John's students register. It took forever because there was so many people in line waiting to register!

When we got to the starting line to walk the 5k, there were so many people there just standing on the side lines the whole time cheering people on. It was such a great motivation and really kept me smiling the whole time.

Corona Park was so beautiful, and some of the spots looked something like a movie. It was so surreal.

When I got back from the walk, I ordered Chinese food with some of my sisters and watched American Horror Story. I then proceeded to go back to my dorm and take a two hour nap that was very much needed!

I'm so happy I got the opportunity to do both of those things this weekend.
Are you doing anything with your sorority to prevent Breast Cancer?

Tell the World that I'm Coming Home!

I am so ridiculously excited to tell you all that I will be back in Georgia for Columbus Day Weekend!!!

My dad will actually be in NYC for a business meeting on Friday through the weekend and is taking me and my room mates out for dinner, and my sister will be here too because of my cousin's sweet sixteen so I'll be able to see them on Sunday! But I really can't wait to go home.

Ugh, I'm so excited! Not a lot of people know because it's gonna be a surprise, especially for my sister and daddy! My mom obviously knows because she put the money in my back account ;) Here is my list of what I want to do the weekend I'm home:

1.Get Chick-fil-A!!
2. Kiss my boyfriend :) (Who is so sweet and is meeting me at the airport!)
3. Surprise my best friend, Amy, during her lunch break
4. Make cookies for my sister to surprise her when she comes home from school
5. Surprise my dad!
6. Have a home cooked meal!
7. Get some fro-yo at TCBYon the golfcart!
8. Sleep in my own bed
9. Have a bonfire with all my friends home for the weekend, and the few still in high school
10. Be able to drive my car again
11. Sit on the floor for hours playing with my dog.
12. Have Chinese food from my favorite Chinese restaurant
13. Cuddle all weekend with my boyfriend (I know, this is so cliche...)
14. Stay up all night talking with my sister (I miss this girl to bits!)
15. Have the most incredible weekend EVER!

I love New York, I really do. I mean, I was born here! But there is just something about Georgia that makes me smile, and I miss it like crazy! I will take TONS of pictures for you guys, so stay tuned!

Weekend Recap!

Hey guys! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Here's a little recap on what I did this weekend:

On Friday, I went with roommates from this year (and our other from last year too!) to this adorable little place called Cafetasia in the Village.  The food and scenery was amazing. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the City.

Blazer: H&M - Shirt: Rue 21 - Jeans: American Eagle - Shoes: Target

Roommates!

It was all lit by candlelight!

I got the Chicken and Shrimp Thai Fried Rice and it was so good!

My dessert (chocolate molten cake) was to DIE for!

On Saturday, I found a wedding happening at the church of my school!

That night night, my sisters and I went to the PiKapp house for a little fun!

However, today I have a date with the library:

All in all I had a great weekend, and I can't wait for the next one! Have a good week!!

FNO!

Tonight is the night I've been waiting for all week: FNO! I went last year, but it didn't go exactly to plan. Since I was a freshman, I didn't know exactly where all the best places to go were so we ended up in Time Square riding the ferris wheel in Toys R Us. Fun times.

For those of you that don't know, FNO stands for Fashion Night Out and usually takes place on the first Thursday in September. Most stores give out free goodies. For example, Free People is giving out free iPhone cases to the first 50 shoppers. A lot of celebrities will be there such as Justin Timberlake and Kim Kardashian.

This year, I plan to hit some good stores in SoHo, however I have class unti 7:50 so I'm gonna have to book it to get to the Q46 and then on the subway. Hopefully I'll have stuff to write about it tomorrow! We won't make it to the city until around nine-ish so who knows if anything will be open!

But from what I've heard, FNO is not just limited to the NYC area- I just received an email saying that the Lilly Pulitzer in my hometown area is holding an event!

For all of you that are attending, or did attend (if you're reading this after the event), what stores do you plan to go to?
