The Truth

So, I have to admit something: I am a bargain shopper. I know that's not really something to you should be afraid to admit, but I have to come clean. I enjoy shopping at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Ross. Even though the stores can be extremely overwhelming, I found some great deals there! Just the other day I went into TJ Maxx and found the cutest pair of Coach flats. FYI, I'm a size eleven in shoes so to find cute shoes like that in my size is a match made in heaven. I didn't buy them, but if they're still there next time I go, they'll be the first thing I pick up. I also found some cute Ralph Lauren polos! I mean come on, you can't go wrong with getting designer stuff at way discounted prices.

A couple of days ago, I took a trip to TJ Maxx and bought about ten items for $150! You can't tell me that's a great deal!  That's way better than just buying one sweater at J. Crew! Plus, I'm a broke college student. I don't have a job and I go to school in New York City. Things are ridiculously overpriced there, so budgeting my money is essential there.

I do have my weaknesses such as Lilly Pulitzer and Lizard Thicket, but I usually only buy stuff there when I reward myself, such as birthdays and Christmas. I definitely learned to stop splurging last year when I saw how much I spent at college. It was not pretty.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to stop how they're spending their money, but don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to pay hundreds of dollars for one item of clothing when you can pay the same price for, say, eight pieces of clothing?

Just some food for thought.

  1. I pretty much never but things unless I get a discount on them, if I'm still thinking about it in a few weeks and I still haven't found a discount on it then I know it's worth purchasing at full price!
